Step back to the 17th century, specifically to the year 1642 at ‘Little Woodham’. This fascinating living museum recreates village life from the period. Tour the village and let the costumed interpreters – the ‘villagers’ – involve you in their daily life. Observe the skills of the blacksmith, help prepare timber and admire the craft of the lace-makers and weavers, or stop off at the local ale-house.
Parking Available, Dog Friendly (Please keep them on leads), Toilets, Small Food & Drink Shop, Picnic Areas. Accessibility: The village is set in wooded, slightly uneven ground, but wheelchair users can generally get around. Doors to the cottages are mostly wide enough to get a chair through, but sometimes the interior may not be ideal.
