Step into the secret world of the submariner at the Royal Navy Submarine Museum, and explore what life was really like in the Silent Service. The Museum includes guided tours of HMS Alliance, the only surviving World War II era British submarine, where ex-submariners bring to life the experience of living below the waves. The Museum is also home to three other submarines: Holland 1, the Royal Navy’s first ever submarine, X24, the last surviving British midget submarine from the WWII period, and a German Biber midget submarine. The kids can try their hand at keeping a submarine buoyant, fighting the enemy and getting to grips with the science behind a sonar ping in the interactive science gallery. The Royal Navy Submarine Museum is part of the National Museum of the Royal Navy.
