The Rum Store building in the heart of Royal Clarence Yard has been earmarked for a £22m restoration project – and initial plans have now been revealed.
Experts at Pritchard Architecture have drawn up plans to renovate the building, which is Grade II listed. These works include rebuilding the collapsed floors, a new gallery entrance, and repairing brickwork and windows.
When finished, you’ll be able to enjoy a rooftop bar overlooking Portsmouth Harbour. If approved, works are due to be completed in Summer 2026.
The project is led by owners UK Docks and architects Pritchard Architecture, with the support of Gosport Borough Council, and funding from the UK Government.
