The Raw Pet Deli has been voted Gosport’s best independent business for 2025 in a public vote.

Based in Hardway, Clare and the team offer bespoke, human-grade food for local pooches.

Clare says “My passion for pet nutrition started about 10 years ago when my own dog Zuma was a very poorly puppy – he was consistently having bouts of gastroenteritis and hospital stays. I found a local nutritionist who helped improve Zuma’s diet, and through her teaching and my own research I found a passion for dog health and nutrition.”

Their popularity shone through in a rush of customers nominating the team for Gosport’s Best Independent Business Award 2025, run by the council.

The Raw Pet Deli received 21% of the 300 nominations from across the borough, with customers testifying to their welcoming service:

“Friendly, professional and personal service, Clare the owner is extremely knowledgeable and always willing to help, she remembers all the dogs’ names, gives our beloved four-legged friends plenty of fuss and treats.”
