A stunning Grade II listed building is on track to become new business space and a destination for those looking for a tipple.
The Rum Store, a former Navy building in the heart of Royal Clarence Yard is seeing £22m of investment over the next two years.
Plans revealed by owners UK Docks and Pritchard Architecture show how the building could become a hub for the growing marine industry based nearby.
With easy access to the water, and a rich maritime heritage, the Rum Store could host businesses like yacht brokers and naval architects.
Proposals also include a possible rooftop terrace bar and restaurant enjoying unrivalled vies across the harbour to the naval dockyard.
Building work is expected to begin by summer 2025, with building due to open for use in 2027.Read more about the project to renovate the Rum Store on Gosport Borough Council’s website.
