Gosport Ferry and Cruises

The Gosport Ferry operates continously, 5:30am to midnight, seven days a week from a landing stage adjacent to Portsmouth Harbour Rail Station. The trip across the bustling Portsmouth Harbour only takes 5 minutes.

Isle Of Wight

If you fancy a trip to the Isle of Wight you won’t be disappointed; with stretches of sandy beach, plenty of family activities, quaint villages and cream teas. For the active there are cliff-top walks and sailing and watersports galore.

The island comes alive in June when the Isle of Wight Music Festival takes place, and again in August for the two-week sailing spectacle that is Cowes week.

Travel to the Island on foot or bike by catamaran – a 20 minute journey from Portsmouth Harbour Railway station to Ryde pier. Alternatively, foot passengers can take a 10-minute Hovercraft ride from Southsea beach to Ryde.

If you want to take your car or camper van, then there is a car ferry that runs from Old Portsmouth to Fishbourne – a leisurely 40 minute trip that gives you the chance to enjoy the views and fresh sea air from the upper deck.

Portsmouth Historic Dockyard

HMS Victory, The Mary Rose, HMS Warrior 1860, The Mary Rose and the National Museum of the Royal Navy are all close to Gosport in Portsmouth Historic Dockyard.

You can buy a combined ticket which includes admission to the Submarine Museum & Explosion Museum on the Gosport side of the harbour together with the Portsmouth Historic Dockyard attractions.
