The Alver Valley Country Park is Gosport's wildlife haven. You can enjoy woodland, lakes, ponds and views of the River Alver which runs through the park. There's plenty for wildlife enthusiasts with reptiles, foxes, deer and a variety of birdlife to look out for.

The Waterfront Trail

The Waterfront Trail

The 3km Waterfront Trail links Explosion! The Museum of Naval Firepower with the Royal Navy Submarine Museum, and offers stunning panoramic views of Portsmouth Harbour. Pass by the marinas and watch all kinds of ships and boats sailing in and out of the busy harbour. If you need some refreshment en-route, then divert into Royal Clarence Yard where you will find a selection of waterfront bars, cafes & restaurants to sustain you.

The Wild Grounds Nature Reserve

The Wild Grounds Nature Reserve

The Wildgrounds represents one of the few remaining unspoilt woodland pastures in South East Hampshire. It is an area of about 67 acres and was designated as local NatureReserve in 1978. In 1984, in recognition of its unique character, it was made a site of special scientific interest

There are two marked trails “red” and “green”. Both trails start at Middle Barn.
