What makes a good market? In our opinion it’s the quality of the traders, the curation of the traders (i.e. local traders, a good mix and not too many of the same thing) and other elements that work together to make it ‘more than a market’; things that turn it from a ‘quick look’ to a day out, i.e. live entertainment, street food, activities, games and workshops.We believe in the power of bringing creative, driven members of the local community together to create something magical for the local community.
Our markets are a place to meet with friends, connect with new people, shop and get inspired.
There’s also the opportunity to sit and chat over coffee, a local beer and delicious, unique street food from all over the world.Our monthly bespoke markets are the ‘all singing, all dancing’ events. We are hosting monthly bespoke markets on the last Saturday of the month from March-September 2024.
As well as our signature events, we’re also working to breathe life back into the weekly markets in Gosport high street (on Tuesdays and Saturdays). We know it used to be a busy, bustling market, a very important part of Gosport Life. Our team are carefully working to put it back together again.
